Hi doc.
My 8-year-old Shetland Sheepdog has been limping on and off for about four months (left front leg). He was diagnosed with Lyme disease around October and he took doxycycline for a month. The limp got better and now it’s back. It seems to be worse after he’s lying down and then gets up. It also gets worse after walking a few blocks. The vet did an X-ray and could not draw any conclusions. He recommended an orthopedic specialist but I’d rather avoid that if at all possible. My dog is energetic and happy and has never had any health problems before. Thanks for your input!

If by “attitude” you’re referring to the blog post I wrote, I think you should take a second look. This post isn’t negative nor does it attack Life’s Abundance. I get a lot of questions about why I stopped selling LA and I wrote this post to explain that it was about my shortcomings with MLM businesses, not those of the company. I don’t believe that I’m “planting seeds of failures.” Instead, I’m simply explaining why I moved on so that people don’t think that it was because of something negative with LA.

I decided to try Probiotic Miracle after reading your web site. I had previously tried Vetri-Science Everyday Probiotics as well as Animal Essentials dog probiotics. Probiotic Miracle not only provided way better results but for the amount of probiotics you get, it is much better priced. 1 large container of these dog probiotics lasts about 6 months in our house. Much cheaper than going to the vet! So far, she is very healthy, better coat and no more smelly breath or body odor. It matches its name, its a MIRACLE! haha. I'll also tell you that I add just a little probiotics scoop to her food and she eats it up, she doesn't even notice it is on the food. I'm sure, if the canine knew and could speak, she would thank you too. I appreciate you putting this information together, it really saved us.

Normally in cases of tick paralysis, the removal of the ticks will result in an improvement of the symptoms within a day or not; some species of tick requires additional therapy. There is a strong possibility of an infectious disease, I am not familiar with the epizootiological situation in India for infectious diseases in dogs; however tick borne diseases (as opposed to tick paralysis) are possible and cause high fevers as well as paralysis and hyperesthesia. Medications like doxycycline and supportive care are the treatment of choice; it may be worth taking samples from lymph nodes for examination to see if an infectious organism is found to help assist with the diagnosis.
